HED Breaks Ground on New 20,000 sq. ft. Facility

June 8, 2006

Hartford, WI – Hydro-Electronic Devices (HED), Inc., makers of the CANLink® brand of multiplexed electronic controls, broke ground on what will become a 20,000
square foot production and headquarters building one block away from the current facility located at 1715A Innovation Way in Hartford Wisconsin. The purpose-built
facility, which will be located at 2120 Constitution Avenue, will double the square footage for production and office space, and is designed to meet capacity needs to
accommodate continued growth among current and new customers and markets.

The company has more than doubled in sales in the last 10 years on the strength of a high quality and diversified product offering as well as increased use of electronic controls on vehicles in both on-highway and off-highway markets.

“It is our intention to surpass that growth rate in the next ten years,” stated Carl Riggio, Chief Executive Officer for HED.

From modest beginnings with 4 employees in rented space above an auto museum on Rural Street in Hartford in 1986, HED employed 18 when it moved to the current facility in Dodge Industrial Park. Now with 35 employees, the Wisconsin company’s move to the new building will enable further expansion.

“HED is a company that was born, and has grown, as a Hartford based business enterprise. So it is with a great deal of civic pride that we are celebrating this
milestone,” commented Riggio.

Both the current lot size and building design were chosen for the ability to accommodate further expansion in the future. HED forecasts occupancy of the new
building in the spring of 2007.
