Hartford, Wisconsin – HED Inc. announces the newly released 5” and 7” (CL-703 and CL-705) digital TFT LCD displays with 640x480 and 800x480 resolutions respectively. These displays utilize a solid-state ARM9 microcontroller and are members of the HED CANLink® multiplexed controller family. With up to 3 CAN communication channels, these displays are designed for use as a stand alone unit or as part of a distributed system. With an IP67 rating, temperature rated from -40C to +70C and designed for sunlight readability, this unit provides a robust mechanism for communicating messages to the end-user inside the cab or externally on the vehicle.

Designed for use as part of a distributed system, these displays have the ability to handle 16 additional inputs/outputs, which can dramatically reduce vehicle dashboard wiring and complexity. In addition, the display can have up to four channels of video. These displays also have an internal 16GB SD Memory card for data logging or to store vehicle manuals. They can be programmed using HED’s do-it-yourself CANLink Arranger™ programming tool or directly by HED engineering.
