Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the health of assigned product line(s), ensuring continued growth in revenue, market share, profitability, and product vitality. Creates and implements a product strategy that delivers growth in revenue and profitability for assigned product line(s) within target markets and customers
  • Balances the needs of customers and limitations of stakeholders (development time, cost, investment)
  • Responsible for the definition of a clear and compelling product vision and timeline that aligns to the overall business strategy for the assigned HED portfolio of products 
  • Communicates frequently and succinctly with broader organization, helping teams understand product goals, progress on goals, successes, difficulties, and impacts to product vision and strategies 
  • Monitors product and market pricing, ensuring optimization of market penetration, competitiveness, and profitability
  • Maintains product line dashboards that measure the impact of our product strategies, refining actions as needed to meet targets
  • Works closely with Sales and Marketing to build and execute Go-to-Market plans that drive leads and customer conversion
  • Manages the product life cycle of assigned product line(s), including SKU rationalization and product line simplification
  • Frequently participates in or leads customer VOC events to ensure application understanding, product definition that is aligned to customer value and assist in the selling process 
  • Participate in the development of internal and external stakeholder meetings on recommended product strategies, tactics, provide product training, input to market materials and regular communication to sales and product teams that assist in obtaining market share for the product 
  • Responsible for validating and adapting product vision based on market acceptance, feasibility, needs, testing, and business viability 
  • Work closely with eco system partners for products to address issues, communicate needs, manage on-time delivery when required of product requirements, and implementation into HED products
  • Participates in the continuous improvement of product post-commercialization of products and services

Minimum Qualifications

    Education:

  • BS or AS degree in engineering or marketing with technical experience (electrical, electronics, electronics technologist, mobile hydraulics, or mechatronics preferred) 

    Experience:

  • 3+ years minimal experience in technical product management and execution

  • Strong communication (written, verbal & presentation) and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient with computers: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and task follow-through
  • Data Driven, comfortable model data to understand market / decision impacts
  • Multitask effectively across multiple demands in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • Technically astute, an ability for you to interface and communicate with engineers will be critical in this role
  • Constant learner that enjoys solving problems and improving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Past engineering experience – development, application or other
  • Working understanding of electronics controls, vehicle communication systems such as CAN, Telematics, IOT, software as a service, J1939, CAN Open, other, and embedded software

Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds while moving files or small packages.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Working Environment

Work is performed in an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Frequent travel to a customer’s location may be required and may include factory or test environments.
