July 10, 2010

Hartford, Wisconsin – HED Inc. announces the newly released CL-705 7” digital TFT LCD display with WQVA (800x480) resolution. The CL-705 is a solid-state ARM9 microcontroller-based display and member of the HED CANLink® multiplexed controller family. With up to 3 CAN communication channels, the CL-705 is designed for use as a stand alone unit or as part of a distributed system. With an IP67 rating, temperature rated from -40C to +70C and designed for sunlight readability, this unit provides a robust mechanism for communicating messages to the end-user inside the cab or externally on the vehicle.

Designed for use as part of a distributed system, the CL-705 has the ability to handle 16 additional inputs/outputs, which can dramatically reduce vehicle dashboard wiring and complexity. In addition, the display can have up to four channels of video. The CL-705 also has an internal 16GB SD Memory card for data logging or to store vehicle manuals. The HED CL-705 can be programmed using HED’s do-it-yourself CANLink Arranger™ programming tool or directly by HED engineering.
